Background
A renowned Legal reference work in large volumes, having more than 25000 pages of selected cases since year 1890.Integration of earlier volumes developed in old folio version.

Requirements
Fast and comprehensive searching was a key requirement owing to the sheer volume and complexity of the subject matter.

Easy navigation around the hierarchical structure of the publication was required so that users did not get lost and did not waste time.Insertion of 5 distinct Query Tags

The e-journal should in the format as in earlier version and hard copyThe CD-ROM should be installable and usable on multiple Windows platforms such as Window XP, 2000, 95, 98 .

Solution

The publisher accepted the recommendation to use Folio Views 4 software for the CD-ROM application. The power and speed of the search engine would deliver the performance required looking at the volume of information provided the data is properly tagged.

• We wrote the SGML to Folio converters.
• Inserted 5 distinct query tags to the pages.
• Integrated the earlier old infobase in new format.
• Produced the installation scripts for folio Views installtion.
• Built a prototype, provided project management and delivered the final CD-ROM to the publisher for replication.
